At ADAS, we strive to perform the best surgical closures and leave the least conspicuous scar possible. Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee results because of many factors beyond our control. Such factors can include but are not limited to: the location of your growth, patient susceptibility to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, allergies to surgery materials or ointments, wound infections, noncompliance with post op instructions, etc.

Because all of our closures are carried out with the utmost care and attention to detail, our revision rate is only 7%. Sometimes we will use laser therapies (Fraxel re: store™, Fractional "DOT" ™ CO2 , Pulse Dye Laser) or intralesional kenalog injections to improve your scar's appearance. We will usually wait at least a few months after your surgery to begin such treatments.

To optimize your result, ADAS providers recommend a researched post surgical kit that utilizes a mineral oil product for 2 weeks followed by a silicone gel agent.
