Glycolic Acid Peels

Glycolic acid refers to a group of naturally occurring substances called "fruit acids". When applied to the skin it exfoliates dead cells on the surface of the skin and stimulates secondary collagen synthesis. This allows our patients in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach and Fleming Island to feel invigorated and their skin smoother and healthier in appearance and texture. We usually recommend a series of five glycolic acid peels carried every 4 weeks for maximum benefit

A high concentration of glycolic acid in our ADAS glycolic acid peel removes a portion of the upper layer of the skin (called the epidermis) exposing the lower layer of undamaged skin. It is used to remove black head lesions and improve mild wrinkles and skin pigment irregularities.
